Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association

Looking for a professional for your gardening needs?
Ask for an FNGLA Certified Industry Professional.
They Know What Grows!
Protect your garden investment by knowing you have received plants, products and services from
a trained professional. An FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP) has been trained
and tested on such things as plant care, pest identification, proper plant placement and
fertilization by the Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association (FNGLA). Only those
who pass an extensive four-part exam are designated as an FCHP.
You wouldn’t think of taking your car to a garage without ASE certified technicians. Just as
their blue logo designates a dealership or repair shop that employs trained professionals, the
FNGLA Certification logo designates a nursery, garden center or landscape firm that employs
trained professionals who know what grows.
If you need a professional to handle your landscape or yard work, there’s an easy way to know
which professionals have demonstrated the knowledge and ability to do what your yard requires.
Ask for one of FNGLA’s Certified Landscape Contractors (FCLCs), Technicians (FCLTs) and
Designers (FCLDs) when hiring a landscape professional. These certified professionals have
completed hours of testing – both in the classroom and in the field – to demonstrate their skills.
By designing, planting and maintaining your landscape the correct way from start to finish, you
can save money. You’ll have fewer plant replacements, more effective fertilization and more
efficient watering than trying to guess what your yard needs. FNGLA’s certified professionals
know what grows!
Following is a list of companies that employ FNGLA Certified Industry Professionals. Be sure
to call them directly to find out their business focus, including whether they do residential and
retail work. Ask to speak with their FNGLA Certified Professional on staff.
